1. Free RingTone
You can get free ringtone to your phone if you compose your own ringtone. If you have a phone with a built in ringtone composer you can also compose your own free ringtones
2. MP3 Ringtone
The Beatniks audio technology can be integrated with MPEG codecs to play back MP3 files as ringtones. A clip from a real song on your mobile phone is quite cool. The BAE technology is mobile phone manufacturers such as Motorola, Siemens and Sony Ericsson. The Nokia 7650 was one of the first cell phones to play BAE or MP3 ringtones.
3. Polyphonic ringtone
Polyphonic ringtone or MIDI ringtones were introdused in 2002. Back then not many phones supported the use of polyphonic ringtones. Most new phones can play polyphonic ringtones.
4. RingTone
A ringtone is the audible alert that the phone emits to notify you of an incomming phone call. All contemporary phones supoprt mupltiple ringtones, some have built-in ringtone composers and some can download ringtones from other phones or the internet.
