will hit the shores of america soon. Before that happens, Brian Lam at Gizmodo was lucky enough to get his hands on the Nokia N95 and take it for a test drive.  There are 5 reasons to buy and not to for the priced $750 USD . But credit to this guys and I will post the first 2 of each.

On the plus side:

  • The GPS is really GPS “and not some assisted-GPS that Spring and Verizon have in their phones.” There’s a huge points of interest database, but turn-by-turn is a $10/month subscription.
  • The 5MP camera with a Carl Zeiss 2.8/5.6 autofocusing lens is superb. There’s a little bit of grain and the shutter lag is “horrendous”, but there are great controls for ISO, white balance, and so on.

    samsung_sch-u620.gif

DigitalTrend reviewed Samsung SCH-u620.  It appears that LG chocoloate  still surpass with better screen size (2.2″ vs. 2″), longer TV battery life (6 hours vs. 3.5 hours), TV picture quality and of course, the admittedly subjective “cool” factor.

The u620 is priced at $149.99 USD with contract and rebate, $50 USD less than the LG. But that’s not to say that the u620 is a bad phone. You wouldn’t notice many of these shortcomings if you didn’t match the two phones head-to-head like we did. The u620 is a bit more compact and easier on the pocket, and is average or above average in most of its functions.
